It's one of those "I can't stop staring at my nails" days

...and THIS is the culprit:

(as always, click pics to enlarge)

(I apologize for the gnarly cuticles. Apparently I need stronger glasses cuz I never see this stuff until I look at blown up pics of my nails...)

No, I assure you, shards of heaven did NOT fall down onto my nails. This beauty is Funhouse by Dandy Nails, yet another awesome Etsy indie polish brand. It's a clear base packed with teal and purple shredded glitter and shot through with silver micro glitter. This polish is so awesome to look at and it's a dream to apply. I was afraid I'd have issues due to the size of the glitter pieces, but they were easy to work and adjust so you can make sure you don't leave any pieces hanging off or sticking up from your nails (which I only had to do once or twice since the glitter, for the most part, was very well-behaved). I am wearing this over 2 coats of China Glaze Aquadelic. Top coats are 1 coat of Gelous and 1 coat of Seche Vite and it's perfectly glassy smooth.

I am SO in love with shredded glitter. It reminds me of shattered Christmas ornaments or something. It's pretty but deconstructed and rough at the same time.

As for Dandy Nails, they are known for blessing the Nail-iverse with quite a few gorgeous polishes. Their shop is closed right now but, according to the update posted, they're planning a restock for the last week in June--so being that we ARE in the last week of June, I'd watch them closely if you wanna snag a bottle of this or any of their other creations! You can like their Facebook page for updates!
