Pore-purging awesomeness...

Behold the skincare miracle-in-a-tube.....

Freeman's Feeling Beautiful Facial Clay Mask in Mint and Lemon

you hear that? That's your pores begging you to keep reading...

(more after the jump)

So here I am, 31 years old and still battling acne like a frickin 14 year old. (Honestly, whoever made up the lie that acne is a teenage thing ought to be hung upsidedown by their pinky toes.)  As the owner of such angry, fussy, unruly skin, I have pretty much tried every skincare product on the planet--both prescription or OTC, looking for a way to deal with the constant oil production (seriously, forget the Middle East--if this country needs oil, they  need look no further than MY FACE) as well as the inevitable clogged pores and big, ugly, painful acne.

I usually gravitate towards stuff that has either Benzoyl Peroxide or Salicylic acid in it, so I never even considered Freeman's Mint & Lemon Facial Clay Mask until a review randomly popped up on the Makeup Alley homepage one day singing praises to this wonderful minty miracle in a tube. It sucks the gunk out of your pores, shrinks them down AND gets oil production under control? And it's only like 2 bucks at Walmart? I figured I had nothing to lose and, at my next trip to Walmart, sure enough, there were the masks (I had NEVER noticed them before)--in surprisingly large tubes. I scooped one up and headed home to experiment.

I followed the directions on the tube. Slathered the thick but easy to work with green goop onto my face, noticed its Pine-Sol like scent (not a BAD scent--just not a scent I'm used to smelling when I'm NOT mopping my floor) and waited for it to dry. As the mask hardened, I could literally SEE the oil that had once been deep down in my pores being sucked up and absorbed by the clay. It was actually pretty cool if you're the kind of person that finds those kinds of chemical reactions cool (what can I say, I'm a geek).  Then the REALLY cool part came...

I started flexing the muscles of my face because I thought it was cool to see the mask crack and--believe it or not--just the mere flexing of muscles caused a huge pimple on my cheek to erupt. Yes, this stuff was THAT good--pimples basically exploded at the sight of it (ok maybe that's a little dramatic but you get my point...right?)...

After it was all dry, I removed the mask using a warm wash cloth--not messy or hard at all to get off and I instantly noticed that the annoying black spots all over the tip and bridge of my nose (i.e.,--nastiness stuck down in my obnoxiously large pores) were GONE. Seriously I have tried EVERYTHING to make those stupid black spots go away--pore strips, specialized blackhead scrubs, funky little extracting tools--and NOTHING had ever gotten rid of them. And that's when I knew--this stuff was HOLY GRAIL (hear the echo?!). My skin was soft, oil free but NOT dry or tight, those stupid black spots were banished AND the pimples I had were withered to a shell of their former selves!! It is then that the choir of angels began to sing Hallelujia (well, in my mind at least)...

So, long story short, Freeman's Mint and Lemon Clay mask does everything it says and more. I've been using it a few times a week now for over a month and my skin is MUCH easier to deal with. My oilyness is finally under some semblance of control, my pores look much smaller than they ever have before, and my pimples (yes I still get them every now and again--I don't think there's anything out there that can make ANYBODY'S skin completely immune to blemishes) are much smaller and fewer in number and their life expectancy is days (rather than the weeks they used to live for in the "before time")...

It's so amazing to me that such an incredibly effective product can be found at such a cheap price--and in such a big tube (I'm STILL on the first tube that I originally bought and I use the stuff every few days), And yet so few people seem to know about it. Seriously, guys--you need to go get this stuff--NOW! Go on!
