OK, I officially declare this a $5 Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop dupe!

So earlier, I was wasting money time in the mall and I drifted into Claire's Accessories in search of shiny things. Immediately, my polish senses started tingling and my eye zeroed in on this pinky, rainbowy, glittery little gem:

I was all "NO WAY" (yes I literally exclaimed this out loud whilst standing by myself in the middle of the store)...then I checked out the name on the bottom of the bottle:






NO FREAKIN WAY! Talk about polish plagiarism (and I am ALL for polish plagiarism--especially when it's an $18 polish dupe for $5--but wow I've never seen a dupe that has the same exact name as the original)...


Anyway, so I basically speeded (sped?) home, busted out my nail wheel and boom:

Right is 1 coat, middle is 2 coats, left is 3 coats (yea I swatched it backwards on the nail wheel--I was so dang excited, I could barely see straight)--no topcoat. And WOW this baby is jam-packed with glitter!! And it's easy to work with, too--no clumpy glitter chunks to break up or nuffin'!

I've been googling around trying to find out if any other nail fiends have been talking about this polish, but so far I've come up with nada--so I'm stepping up on my soap box, busting out my bullhorn and shouting to the polish-obsessed masses: (clears throat)

Yes people, Claire's has a Candy Shop dupe and it's called CANDY SHOP and it's freakin gorgeous!! SO HURRY UP AND GETCHOO SOME!!

    Yay!!!! Not that long ago I was like "now someone has to dupe that pink one and I'm all set" and IT HAS HAPPENED! I hope the Claire's up here in Canadaland have it too and that nobody knows what Deborah Lippmann is, and Candy Shop for that matter :D

      I came thisclose to getting the DL so many times...but don't feel bad for not wearing it yet. like, 75% of my stash is STILL untried...::hangs head in shame:: i'm much better at BUYING nail polish than I am at wearing it lol

    THANK YOU! Been craving the Deborah Lippmann version but couldn't bring myself to pay so much for a nail polish! After getting linked to your post from Nouveau Cheap I went out and got it right away!

    FB sent me, and you sent me to Claire's! Got my bottle AND magnetic polish- buy one, get one for 1/2 off- and only $8.50 per bottle to begin with instead of $16.50 at Sephora or ULTA!

      thanks so much! yea i never really paid much attention to Claire's until I found out on an internet message board that they have awesome polishes...now i'm in there all the time. And I feel silly I admit--31 year old mom amidst the tweens buying justin bieber necklaces but hey i'll do anything for polish lol
