NOTD--Sally Hansen Insta-dri In A Flurry swatch and review

Today I have another polish from the brand new LE Sally Hansen Insta Dri collection that has been popping up on store shelves. This is In A Flurry:

First let me just apologize for the blurryness of these pics.. My camera has been acting funny ever since my kid tossed it across the room the other day. I've been messing with settings trying to figure out how to get it to take a halfway decent pic again. Let's pray I can fix its problem cuz I sure can't afford a new camera right now (one fine day, my DSLR dreams will come true)...

In A Flurry is a beautiful, complex polish. It's a blackened forest green shimmer base filled with tons of super-duper nano glitter (I'm not sure exactly what to call it. It's too big to be shimmer particles and too small to be straight-up glitter. It also doesn't really fit a glass-fleck definition either...). So far as I can see, the micro glitter colors range from blue to violet to green to gold and they GLOW like itty bitty Christmas lights depending on what angle you are viewing them from. In fact, this polish as a whole strikes me as something you'd find in a holiday collection and I can totally see myself busting it out in December--especially as a base for Christmas nail art attempts...

The formula is typical Insta-Dri formula--thick and nearly opaque at one coat. I did 2 coats here because, well, I am just a habitual multi-coater, with a coat of Seche Vite on top. I really do think Sally Hansen Insta-dris are some of the best polishes drugstores have to offer. For the most part, they are super pigmented, well-behaved, they come in some gorgeous colors and they tend to double as awesome stamping polishes. The one thing I find annoying about them is the bottle shape and the brush. It has a wide brush cut into a U shape and I always have trouble with bigger brushes on my piddly little nubz. The bottle shape just makes me nervous; They're taller and skinnier than most polish bottles & they're easier to knock over for klutzes like me. Also, I wish you got more than 3.1 oz of polish for your 3.58-5.49 (the lowest price is from Walmart, the highest is from CVS)...

All packaging issues and Sally's stinginess aside, I am in love with this color and I have absolutely nothing like it in my 1000+ bottle collection...

Have you spotted these latest Insta-dri offerings in your 'hood yet? Plan on picking any of them up?
