NOTD: Wet N Wild Fergie nail polish 'Tonight's Gonna be a Good Night' swatch and review

The other day, I posted about finding the new Fergie nail polishes at my local Walgreens. This is one of 2 shades that I picked up: Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night.

(sorry about the wrinkling--my fault for not waiting long enough for the Seche Vite to work its magic)

Tonight's Gonna be a Good Night is a clear polish with small black hex glitters and larger gold hexes through-out. For this mani, I layered one coat of TGBAGN (damn you polish companies and your long names) over 2 coats of China Glaze Recycle with one coat of Seche Vite on top (of course).

For the most part, I'm a fan of this polish, except for one thing:

THE BRUSH WONK!! Ugh Wet N Wild what is it with you and your God awful brushes??

Anyfrickinway....all brush wonk aside, I am digging this polish. I am a sucker for any and all black glitter and  there is a nice amount of it in this polish. Both the black and gold glitters come out easily and spread out nicely on the nail. I love the extra flash the larger gold glitters give this polish. Really it looks more like something I would have to buy from an Indie Etsy seller and not something I could find on a display in a chain drugstore for $3.49 a pop!

The polish consistency is easy to work with--not too thick, not too thin, and it holds the glitter well. The dry time was about average. The only problem I had with this polish, really, was totally brush-related. That brush is so wide that it is literally wider than my pinky finger and it's not the easiest to control on my poor itty bitty nubz, so there was some clean-up I had to do as I went along. Other than that, I am super psyched to see another black glitter option out there. I really hope more polish companies follow suit and start offering us more unique glitters like this one!

Have you spotted any of the new Fergie polishes yet? Any of them caught your eye?
