Quick, simple neutral eye look featuring L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows

I thought I'd do a quick post to show a possible look you can create with the new L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows. First off, let me say I am OBSESSED with these shadows. They are gorgeous, amazingly pigmented, apply smoothly and easily and they really do wear a loooong time without creasing--even if they are worn with no primer...

anyway, so here's my mug (please bare with me while I figure out how to take consistently decent pictures):

(On my face is Almay Clear Complexion foundation in Ivory and Clear Complexion powder & concealer in light. Blush is Milani Luminoso and lips are NYC Lipstain in Never Ending Nude with Revlon Lip Butter in Creme Brulee layered on top)

So to get this eye look, I used these four shades (from left to right)-Golden Sage, Iced Latte, Bronzed Taupe, and Continuous Cocoa.

Swatch order (all without primer)--Iced Latte, Golden Sage, Bronzed Taupe, Continuous Cocoa.

To start, I took the Golden Sage and, using my finger tip, I patted it all over my lid, smoothing it over to get a nice, even application.

Then I took the Bronzed Taupe and, once again using my finger, I patted it onto the outer 3rd of my lids. All I had to do to blend was a very soft swipe of my finger where the 2 shades met.

After that, I took the Continuous Cocoa and, this time using the E.L.F. concealer brush (which is small and firm and flat), I drew the standard little sideways V on the outer corner of my eyes and, taking my Ecotools blending brush, blended the color inward.

Then I took the Iced Latte and applied that with my finger tip to my brow bone and used the blending brush to blend it down to the other shadows.

After that, I grabbed the same itty bitty E.L.F. concealer brush, wiped it off and used it to dab a touch of the Iced Latte onto my tear ducts. After lining my upper eyelids with my beloved HG Jordana Fabuliner in brown, I took the concealer brush again, dipped it into the Continuous Cocoa and applied it over the eyeliner to smudge and soften the line. Then I used the same brush to smudge the same shadow onto my lower lash line.

As a finishing touch, I took the Golden Sage and smudged it over top of the Continuous Cocoa on the lower lash line only cuz I likes mah greens. Then I swiped on some Maybelline the Falsies Flared in black and filled my brows with E.L.F. brow kit in medium.

Every time I use these Infallible Shadows, I am amazed at how beautifully they apply and how easy they are to work with. I hope L'Oreal comes out with more shades cuz I'll snatch those up RIGHT quick if they do!

(I realize after typing this out that I really should have taken step by step pictures. Lesson learned so next time I do a post like this, I promise it will be much more illustrated!)

So have you gotten any of the Infallible shadows? Are they living up to the hype for you?
